Get Electronic Service Delivery For Microsoft Office Products Using Ingram Micro

Ingram Micro is one of the largest wholesale companies that provide various technical products and services related to IT and mobile devices. It provides a wide variety of products coming from companies like Apple, Acer, Dell, HP and many others. Recently, they have announced to offer Electronic Service Delivery for Microsoft Office Products. For this purpose, they have developed a platform called ‘Digital Locker’ and this digital locker platform allows the Ingram Micro New Zealand’s channel partners to easily download Microsoft products online without any difficulties. Moreover, they can download these products within a matter of minutes.
Ingram Micro’s Managing Director Mr. Gary Bigwood commented on the Microsoft’s Electronic Software Delivery (or ESD) by saying, “If maximizing your time is important to you, you really need to look at this capability and how it can help you be more efficient.” He also added, “The digital locker makes it easy for our customers to manage licenses and provides a powerful way to efficiently sell more, support business growth and compete more effectively in the market at speed.” At present, the only distributor offering ESD to the retailers and resellers in New Zealand is Ingram Micro.
Warwick Grey, The Channel Manager in New Zealand for Microsoft was excited by hearing this comment from the MD of Ingram Micro. He says, “We’re excited that ESD is now a part of the day-to-day value-add Ingram Micro brings to our Microsoft business and that we are able to launch something that offers so much additional value to resellers.” This will allow the customers of Microsoft in New Zealand to be more responsive and the Microsoft products will be shipped to them in no time. With the service provided by the Ingram Micro company, the users will be able to get the Microsoft related products in the stipulated time and without any delay, in turn adding to the customer satisfaction.
However, this too has many challenges. It is quite understandable from the words said by the Microsoft Channel Manager in New Zealand. He said, “One of the biggest challenges facing us and our channel is managing inventory levels, but with ESD we now offer online product key procurement without the need for physical product and many of the previous delays in software deployment go away.”
Since the entire process is automated, it becomes easy for customers to get Microsoft Office products and they do not have to wait for a long time, thus saving much money and time.
