How To Set Your Bluetooth Headset As Your Default Audio Device

  • Locate the Bluetooth headset in the window for Add a Device and right click on the icon. Choose the option Properties. 
  • The Properties window will have different tabs in it. Select the tab Services.  
  • Find out whether there is a check mark near the option Enabled, next to your Bluetooth headset. If you do not see the check mark, check the box. 
  • Go back to your desktop window. In the system tray, locate the speaker icon and right click on the same. From the different options that come up, select Playback Devices. 
  • From the list, right click Bluetooth headset and choose the option Set as Default Device. 
  • Select the option Recording and again right click the Bluetooth headset. Select the option Set as Default Device and this will make your headset the default audio input device.
